This is us!
Floyd grew up around the Morris, OK area while Amber is originally from Harrison, AR. The two met in the spring of 2007 while attending college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where they both attained their bachelor’s and master’s degrees. In 2017 the two got married and are now living in Morris where they are raising cattle and teaching science courses at OSUIT in Okmulgee, OK.
Building Our Herd!
Robison Cattle started when Floyd put together a small herd of commercial cows while in college. Over the last four years we have phased out all but one commercial cow, now our herd and breeding decisions are focused towards more of a seedstock operation. In 2018 we purchased our first registered Simmental heifers, and our herd has continued to grow. Our cowherd is primarily based around Griswold Cattle Simmental genetics, with most of our mature cows having been purchased as bred heifers from the Classic Sale over the last several years. We have retained heifers from those cows to increase our herd, all while using top Simmental genetics when selecting AI sires every breeding season.
